Arjun Kuttikkat

Founder of Edgaze. Robotics and AI student at University of Birmingham Dubai. Based in Dubai, from Kerala.

I grew up in Thalikulam, a small town in Kerala, in a calm environment without the usual pressure to compete for exam ranks. I never prepared for JEE and never intended to. Up to 10th grade I was a strong, structured student. In 11th I moved into a different environment, got deeper into the internet and YouTube, and started paying attention to people who were building things that had nothing to do with geography or degrees.

I was always drawn to making things: drawing, design, structures, systems. What I cared about was scale, something that could reach more than the people in the room.

Most of my early attempts failed. I edited videos for a while and still do, but did not want a career in it. I started five YouTube channels with five different directions. None of them got traction. What that taught me is simple: effort does not compensate for direction. You can execute well and still end up nowhere.

Over time I moved from trying things to building systems, and became interested in software as leverage, especially AI. Tools like Claude, Cursor, and Codex are part of how I build day to day, not occasional helpers.

For university I had a conventional option, including Australian National University. I chose University of Birmingham Dubai for Robotics and AI instead, because it gave me control over my time. I needed to be able to build in parallel with studying rather than after it. In the first semester I entered hackathons, placed third in one, and started working on products with real complexity.

At 18 I incorporated Edge Platforms, Inc. in the United States. That company builds Edgaze: a marketplace and hosted runtime where AI workflows are built on a canvas, published with a price per run, and executed by people, backends, and agents. It is live and operating in production, with per-run billing and creator payouts in place.

Getting there involved a lot of outreach. In one week I sent more than 700 direct messages to creators. The response rate was strong, and more importantly it showed that people wanted the thing to exist. What it also showed is that interest is the easy part. The work now is turning that interest into repeated usage from creators and buyers.

I am naturally introverted. The work now requires direct communication, sales, and support, so that is what I do. Avoiding it would slow everything down.

Most days are long and built around building, debugging, and talking to users. The near-term target is measurable: real, repeated usage and 100k in GMV before the end of 2026. This is early, the systems are still being refined, and none of this is a side project.

The record is on the projects pages. That is the part that matters.
